These beautiful spoon gouges are forged by Michihamono in Japan, with a laminated Blue Paper Steel cutting edge that takes and holds an exceptionally sharp edge.

This is one of the tools in my go-to kit for carving spoons and bowls. It’s great for hollowing out spoons, small bowls and dishes, and its compact size gives you plenty of control as you carve.

The Blue Paper Steel edge is easy to maintain with regular, light stropping, so you can keep it sharp and ready to use without constantly resharpening.

Finished with a comfortable white oak handle that sits beautifully in the hand.
