ABOUT

Slow Carving at Bangalay - Carve a Small Dish

Join me for a slow Saturday afternoon of carving in the beautiful surrounds of Bangalay Luxury Villas, just a short walk from Seven Mile Beach.

As part of Carving Community: City to Coast for Sydney Craft Week, we’ll spend the afternoon learning the simple and rewarding practice of carving with hand tools.

I’ll guide you through the process from start to finish, including safe knife use, working with the grain and shaping and finishing your piece. No previous carving experience is needed and everything you need will be provided. Weather permitting, we’ll carve outside in the beautiful Bangalay grounds, taking our time, sharing the table and enjoying an afternoon away from the usual rush.

  • All tools, sustainably sourced timber and afternoon refreshments are included.
